On 8 July 2025, Tropical Storm Chantal caused severe flooding in Mebane, North Carolina, leading to a failure of the municipal water-treatment facility. In response, the City of Mebane has ordered all businesses within the city limits to close until further notice.

Consequently, AKG of America, Inc. and AKG Thermal Systems, Inc. (collectively “AKG North American Operations”) must temporarily suspend production at our Mebane plant. Because this closure is mandatory and beyond our reasonable control, it constitutes a force-majeure event under our supply agreements.

Please note that production in Mebane is currently paused; shipping dates will be adjusted once operations resume. New purchase orders and lead times may extend; you will receive revised schedules as soon as possible.

The safety of our employees, protection of the community and continuity of your supply chain remain our top priorities. We are working closely with the local authorities and utility providers to mitigate further delays.

The city’s order is presently expected to remain in effect for several days. We will communicate with you as the conditions change.

Thank you for your understanding.
