AKG Furthering Manufacturing Education with ABSS Staff
This week, AKG Mebane has two visitors from the Alamance County School System (ABSS). AKG had the opportunity to host as a result of our partnership with the Carrer Acceleration Program (CAP) at Alamance Community College (ACC).
This week, AKG Mebane has two visitors from the Alamance County School System (ABSS). Crystal Taylor from Woodlawn and Eric Banks from Turentine Junior High. AKG had the opportunity to host as a result of our partnership with the Carrer Acceleration Program (CAP) at Alamance Community College (ACC).
This week they are spending 4 days in manufacturing learning about Core Assembly, Weld Prep Milling, Tank Machining, and Welding.
Educational Externships help teachers strengthen the alignment of their academic program to industry needs. Externships serve has a professional development opportunity for administrators, counselors, teachers of math, science, English, social studies and Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses to learn about the industry related to their program. By engaging with and in industry based practices, educators are better able to align their curriculum to make it meaningful and relevant.
